Lovely little cottage. Just right for 4 adults and 3 young (under 11) children. Older children would have been a bit of a squeeze. Everything you need for a pleasant stay though. Well equipped. We had a long and lovely weekend away and stayed at this cottage for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and there was easy access to the property. Although, it sleeps 7 I would limit the number to 4. Nice cottage but very remote location. Comfortable for a family who enjoy challenging walks in the local area or get in the car to tour the wider area. Even though property sleeps 7, would feel cramped for 2 families to join up at the same time. Suitable for large families e.g up to 5 children. Found cleanliness of cottage an issue on our visit. A very good place to take any sort of holiday you wish. Having the bus stop outside your door made both Dartmouth and Brixham easily accessible whilst your car is in a secure place. Then there are the ferries all over the bay. This is a really well placed cottage.

We found Windward Cottage very good value and had excellent access to the coastal footpath. It was very well equipped and a short car ride to Brixham On the downside the house is a bit small to accommodate 6 people especially when 2 are teenage. The cottage was well equipped, but with 6 people there were not enough comfy seats, if they are all adults. Also it is at the top of a big hill, Hillhead gives it away, but be aware that any walks from the cottage include steep hills. Views are amazing though, as is Brixham and the surrounding area. We had a lovely holiday.

There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
