This contemporary apartment, which sleeps two people, overlooks the cheerful town of Brixham, with its wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s the perfect place for a romantic getaway with easy access to sea views, coastal walks and some of Devon’s finest seafood. Recently renovated, the property offers spacious accommodation for two people and fluffy, friendly dogs.

If exposed stone walls and solid wooden floors don’t appeal, perhaps the fact that this property was lovingly restored in a nautical theme, will. The result is a bright, airy home with plenty of natural light. The conservatory provides the ideal retreat to enjoy restful days with views over the town. A pretty sun terrace is the perfect spot for a coffee to perk up your morning. A flame effect fire sets the mood for a romantic night in, complete with TV and DVD player if you want to catch a favourite movie with a glass of wine.

Brixham is a bustling harbour town with fishing at its heart. Amazing seafood, cafes and restaurants are just a short walk (less than a mile) away from the cottage. One way to explore the local area in style is to hop aboard a boat trip. These run from the harbour regularly, giving you the perfect chance to see all the area has to offer. For animal lovers, Paignton Zoo is less than 6 miles away, and with over 2,500 animals this is a day-long event. Take in a hot chocolate and a snack in the cafe, and when you’re done how about feeding the meerkats? It would be rude not to!

The Garden Apartment - Brixham. A wet week in January. But it was warm, clean and well equipt, we even sat out in the conservatory a few times. Hazel the owner was very helpful. The kitchen area is small but I still managed to make a couple of evening meals finding all the pots/pans/utensils I needed. The location is virtually in the town centre buRead moret on a very steep hill. Even in January parking was a challenge not to be underestimated. Bus service is great 5 day pass so car not needed at all. Hide

The wall in the garden, I would consider low. It was easy accessible for my pet dog to jump on, not knowing of the drop if he were to fall. So during our stay the dog could only go out accompanied with my partner or my self with his collar and lead.

The cottage was modern, stylish, comfortable, well equipped and very near to all amenities in the town. Slight drawback was parking, especially for loading and unloading but imagine this is unavoidable with most properties in the vicinity. The conservatory was a real bonus. Comfortable and with a real holiday vibe. A pleasure.

The cottage is placed perfectly for a stay and was 5 minutes walk to the main harbour and there was one pub that was only 2 minutes walk away, set amongst the cottages. We had a lovely outside area and a beautiful conservatory for our stay. The kitchen had all the utensils you needed and extras were provided if you didn't have tea bags on arrival pRead morelus milk was left in the fridge for arrival. The lounge and TV were home from home and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable nice bathroom. Hide

Treat yourself to a memorable holiday in the beautiful coastal resort of Brixham, where there are a variety of fantastic experiences that will entertain all ages. A lively harbour town, there is plenty to see and do in and around the town.

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
