A stylish and beautifully furnished split-level sail loft, perfect for couples looking for a cosy base to explore the fishing town of Brixham and the surrounding South Devon coast.

Overlooking Brixham town, this delightful bijou sail loft is in a perfect central location for the local shops, pubs and restaurants. The town has a long-standing maritime history and the stunning harbour remains the heart of the town, offering a choice of boat trips, from relaxing tours of Torbay, accompanied fishing trips, and a regular service across the bay to the resort town of Torquay. There is plenty to see and do in the town, from beaches to water sports and even a wonderful replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship The Golden Hind. Further afield, but still, within easy reach, the towns of Paignton and Torquay are also popular destinations and offer attractions such as sandy beaches, Paignton Zoo, and a wonderful steam railway which runs through the Dart Valley.

Stepping through the front door you are greeted by the lovely double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. This light and airy room have storage to unpack your suitcases and makes use of the compact space with a washer/dryer tucked away. Heading up the wooden steps leads to the first-floor living space, comprising of a kitchen and lounge area with views over Brixham town. The compact kitchen boasts all the essentials you need to cook up a storm, including an electric hob and oven, microwave and fridge with an ice compartment. The lounge has a cosy sofa, Smart TV for watching all your favourite programmes and a dining area, made even better on a sunny day by the windows sliding back to feel like you’re outside. There is even a small mezzanine area above the lounge to really make the most of the stunning apartments compact space and doors open upstairs onto the Juliette balcony.

Moving outside the property there is a small terrace area which leads to St Peter’s Steps, with just a few paces and you will find yourself in the centre of Brixham town. There is parking available in the local car park.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Good property but small. Be prepared to walk for parking and travel light as nearest car park is only for 3 hours. Suitable for younger couple but all facilities catered for, and 5 minutes from harbour.

Fabulous little sail loft with many home comforts. Towels and bedding were good quality and the whole concept worked exceptionally well. Great views from the living space(kitchen/lounge). The location was fantastic literally 100 metres from the harbour but you need to be fit and healthy to take on the Brixham steps. Fabulous stay

Lovely little sail loft cottage - there are steep up to the property from all angles which wasn't an issue for us at all but if you are a bit iffy on your feet youll need to take your time! Pretty house, with lovely views, few steps walk to Main Street - very convenient! We parked for free on Berry Head Road which is a good 10/15 min walk away (aloRead moreng the harbour) but nice and safe area to leave your car. Car park in town much closer if you are happy to pay though. Hide

Cottage is lovely and in a convenient location for the harbour etc. Only down side for some folk could be the steep steps up from Fore Street.

Great place to stay for a couple! Very close to many restaurants around the harbor. The bus stop is only a couple minutes away by walking. You can get to the cottage by either walking up a set of steep stairs or a steep hill. The whole area is hilly anyway, so you cant completely avoid it. Absolutely lovely accommodation in the middle of it all but its extremely peaceful and quiet, as its off the main run. Beautiful cottage, just as it looked in the pictures. Well renovated, lots of character and beautifully decorated and furnished. Very comfortable bedroom and great shower! Amazing views from the lounge/kitchen over Brixham, plus a little view of the sea. Great cosy hideaway in the centre of Brixham. Well equipped and thoughtful details have meant we've stayed here twice and plan to come back again in the future. Friendly pub, great fish n chips and lovely walks all nearby.

A cosy, quirky property that is very well equipped and ideally located for exploring the local area, coastal paths etc. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink within walking distance. Property is only accessible by steps which some may find challeging, but that didn't affect our enjoyment. We would come back to St Pete's Nest.

Great property, amazing view. The size was perfect for me. Just one issue, some of the fixtures and fittings need looking at, but overall, I was really impressed with St. Petes Nest.

Parking not great, don't take a lot of luggage as a good walk to apartment lot's of steps. Apartment very small, but fully equipped. Outside area is a shared walkway, not a sitting outside area. Once in the apartment, access right into Brixham centre from it was ideal, although steps to navigate. Is a nice small apartment but too small for us and lRead more really needed an outside sitting area that unfortunately this apartment doesn't have. Gorgeous place to holiday, beaches are beautiful. Great location in the heart of Brixham, within easy reach of the harbour and local pubs and restaurants. There is a view of the harbour through the houses. Be aware of the steps from the streets to the cottage and the area where you need to park, as it is a little strenuous for some.

Quirky apartment, in a great location and clearly huge efforts made to maximise the limited space available (this is natural if wanting a town centre apartment in this location. space is at a premium in the whole town.) Perfect for a couple with a small dog who are happy to do some lugging of luggage to the apartment and climbing steep stairs withiRead moren the apartment. Loved this property. Nest it is. Its so lovely and cosy and quaint. It is in a perfect location for exploring Brixham. Just need to bear in mind that you cant park very close, tackling the hills and stairs with luggage was hard work.
