This property is situated close to the centre of the Brixham, a pretty harbour town which is located on the western edge of Torbay in South Devon. The town itself has a range of interesting shops and a number of well-regarded restaurants, many of which specialise in serving the local seafood. Some visitors, on the other hand, like to take the opportunity to catch their own supper and join one of the accompanied fishing cruises that leave from the town’s harbour, or alternatively take a leisurely trip on one of the pleasure boats that run around the bay. Days at the beach are easy to enjoy here, as there are several beaches within easy reach of the property, including the town’s main Breakwater beach.

This pretty cottage makes a lovely place to stay and guests will love the attractive tastefully styling which shows the thought that has been put into creating a restful holiday home. On entering the property, guests come first to the welcoming lounge, with is comfortable seating, TV, DVD, Netfix and artfully exposed stone wall. A winding staircase leads to the lower-ground floor where the kitchen/diner is situated, offering a fantastic selection of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and separate wine fridge. The dining table comfortably seats four and sits next to the stable door which opens onto the property’s outside space. (Please note that the kitchen has a low ceiling and some reduced head-height). Returning to the ground floor, the stairs continue on to the first-floor accommodation where guests will find the master bedroom, with its double bed, TV and fitted wardrobe. The second bedroom, a twin room, is located on the second floor, as is the bathroom which has a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, to the rear of the property, there is a small patio area surrounded by plants and greenery, giving it a private, secluded feel. There is a parking permit for one car in a nearby Church car park,  close to the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Quirky cottage with some lovely decorative touches. The stairs are a challenge & would be unsuitable for small dogs, children & less mobile. It is in a good location, if you do not mind steep hills, to get to the shops, places to eat & drink & walks. It is very pleasant walking in either direction along coast. There are a number of things to do in Read morethe area. Dartmouth is nice over the ferry, National Trust properties are dog friendly, as are Berry Head & the Battery Gardens. Hide

Beautiful property with everything you need and in a great location, stairs are very steep to bathroom just need to be careful, would definitely recommend.

The stairs are quite awkward for small dogs and take some getting used to. Dog walks are fantastic for the area. The walk from the harbour to Battery Gardens is very pleasant.

Great pub just a few steps away, and a great choice of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. With lovely clean beaches in either direction less than 10 mins away, its the ideal place to stay.

We loved our stay at Seaguls Rest, it was such a cute cottage. Steps are steep so take a day to get used to. The nearby pub was lovely and sunny til early evening and the access to Brixham and the Devon Coast was great. Highly recommend.

We would definitely recommend Seagulls Rest. A gorgeous cottage and the location is perfect being right in the centre of Brixham. Very helpful that there is allocated parking available in the nearby church car park (with parking permit) which is a 5 min walk from the cottage. Lovely cottage in the heart of Brixham. Very much felt like a home from home. The location is excellent being two minutes walk to the harbour where there are great cafes & restaurants. (I'd recommend booking a table at Rockfish if you can and asking for an outside table where you get great views of the harbour.) The facilities at the cottage are exRead morecellent but be careful of the stairs, especially with young children. I'd also recommend visiting the harbour office and purchasing a car parking ticket - a weeks ticket works out at 5 per day and allows you to use an abundance of car parks all around Torbay thus saving you driving round in circles trying to get a space! We loved our holiday at Seagull's Rest and definitely intend to return in the future! Hide
