This contemporary cottage sits in a peaceful location just a short walk from the centre of Brixham. With bright and modern accommodation and a fantastic balcony overlooking the harbour, this is the perfect bolthole for family escapes in South Devon. Grab a bite to eat at one of the local cafes before hopping on a boat to explore the rest of the beautiful English Riviera.

When you’re not dining out in Brixham, rustle up delicious meals in the modern kitchen, which contains everything you should need. When the sun is shining, dine alfresco on the terrace outside, which boasts breathtaking views across the rooftops, harbour and water beyond. Later, hunker down on the plump corner sofa in the lounge and settle in for a relaxing evening of film, TV or games with the family.

Tucked away behind the centre of bustling Brixham, this property is just a short walk from its array of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Enjoy a plate of freshly-caught fish at one of the many renowned seafood restaurants, pop to the fish market to prepare your own or even try your luck on an accompanied fishing trip. When you have finished exploring Brixham itself, jump on board one of the many regular boat and ferry trips, which leave the busy harbour for neighbouring Dartmouth (5 miles), Paignton (5.5 miles) and Torquay (8.5 miles) or stay on dry land for a peaceful stroll through Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1 mile).

  • Brixham is busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep.

  • There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Brixham do not have private parking. However, alternative parking is available in local carparks.
  • With regret charging an electric car is not permitted at this property
  • Arrival: 16:30 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely views, made up for the cottage looking tired, and feeling cold and not cosy. Steep stairs going down to the cottage and also steep stairs in the cottage, so not easy for anyone with mobility problems

Lovely cottage and perfect location in Brixham. We really enjoyed our time and thoroughly recommend this property. It is on a hill so lots of steps, keeping us fit but the view from the patio is well worth it.

Sea View Cottage is in fabulous location with a fantastic view. The cottage itself is clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Would happily stay again.

Although this sleeps 6 people the living room is very small but the view makes up for this.

We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was very cosy and the view amazing, We would return Found the steps at the very end of the road not as steep as some and they will bring you out at the end of town. No trouble parking, managed to get a space a little up for the property.

Another lovely stay, this was our second visit and hopefully not our last. The view from the cottage, overlooking the harbour, was amazing and made the climb up the steps worth it. We had a very comfortable stay and the dog enjoyed it too!

The cottage has to have one of the best views of Brixham harbour, truly stunning view from two bedrooms and large balcony. The house is fitted with all you would need, dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, BBQ etc. Parking can be a bit of an issue outside property, but we always managed to find a parking space in a road a few minutes walk Read moreaway. The location requires a lot of walking up and down stairs that keep you fit. Have no hesitation booking this property again. Hide

overall a nice place to stay, with a great view that cant be beaten, some minor cleaning issues but nothing that would effect your holiday, as described its quite a walk with steps leading down to Brixham so you need to be quite fit, gives your knees a good workout, equipment in cottage was good and adequate, wouldn't bother parking anywhere other Read morethan Great Rea road that leads to it, usually plenty of space. definitely would stay again.
