Please do not book this cottage if you cannot walk up/down hills. The location was terrific only yards (down a very steep hill) to the town centre and the harbour and yet very quiet. The cottage itself is small but suited us a couple, it was very clean and tidy and was very comfortable, except the mattress which could do with a change.

The cottage itself is absolutely lovely but given its location and lack of parking near to would be totally unsuitable for anybody who couldnt manage a ridiculously steep hill with luggage. We are both fit and healthy but the climb was challenging with luggage and we had to pull cases through the town to get to it as there is only really the centraRead morel car park in Brixham available to park on and nowhere to even just pull in and unload quickly. Anything other than flat shoes would be a no! Hide

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.
