The cottage is a great location close to shops, harbour and lovely walks, beach, etc., if you don't like a lot of traffic noise this isn't for you but as it IS on a main road this it is to be expected and understood, It's a small but comfortable, welcoming cottage with lovely features the shower room is stunning, leather suite and everything could Read morecould or should need for a lovely holiday. The cottage is not very homely, the settee was uncomfortable the lounge is not very appealing to spend time in. The ground floor smells of damp . The location is good as it near the harbour which is great in the day. At night though is is very noisy as its on the main street and we didn't sleep at all on our first night as the noise levels were verRead morey high. You are unable to sleep with the window open, so we had to purchase a fan to enable us to sleep the rest of the holiday. Hide

Great little cottage ! Stayed here for 5 nights and loved it ! Cottage was spotless and in a great location ! Although no actual view of the harbour as cottages opposite, but still right in the heart of the harbour ! Bed was very comfortable and and kitchen etc had all the amenities you need ! Good location, comfy beds and well equipped. Major downside was the black mould growing in the downstairs bathroom. The smell of damp hits you as you walk through the front door. Shame, as its a lovely little cottage a minutes walk away from the harbour. There is another bathroom upstairs (so we never used the downstairs one anyway but could still Read moresmell it through the door) A good base for exploring other parts of Devon. Hide

Excellent location with a very short walk to the harbour and high street shops/restaurants. Great size for 4 adults or a family of 4. Very clean. I am always anxious of staying in a dog friendly property incase it has dog fur everywhere or that damp dog smell but it was absolutely fine.

Our stay at Port Cottage in Brixham Devon was a delight. The cottage was in a very central location( just behind the Quay),so no steep hill to climb, and was fitted out to a very good standard.

Excellent location in the town centre. Very well equipped throughout , washing and cooking facilities etc. Very warm, we had to turn the radiators down. Great for children being right near the harbour front. Parking is an issue in town generally. As we went out of season we found parking up the hill on the roadside but this involved a fair walk.
