Large family home in an ideal location close to the beach at Goodrington Sands, between the towns of Brixham and Paignton on the beautiful English Riviera

This luxury semi-detached property is perfectly located for those looking for a family seaside holiday. The wide expansive beach at Goodrington Sands is within walking distance of the property and offers everything you could wish for from a family seaside resort: deckchairs, swimming, golden sands, pedalo hire and even a steam railway which runs along the beachfront, taking visitors to Paignton to the north and Kingswear to the south. Paignton town centre is around two miles from the property, with its restaurants, bars, shops, and its well-loved zoo with over 2000 resident animals, there is plenty here for everyone to enjoy.

On entering this property, guests will be struck by the calming and tasteful decoration throughout. The comfortable lounge/diner has two distinct areas. The lounge area of this room has a TV, DVD and Sky TV, whilst the dining area has a large dining table, comfortably seating 10. The kitchen is spacious and features a second TV, as well as all the cooking facilities that you would expect, plus some extras, including an Aga, wok hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Doors lead off from the kitchen to a pleasant sun room, whilst there is also access to the patio area of the property’s garden. The washing machine and tumble dryer is located in the garage.  A games room is available for those stay at home fun days. Guests will also find a study on the ground-floor, which has internet access, as well as a double bedroom with its own TV and shower room with WC. Upstairs, there are four further bedrooms: three doubles, one of which has an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC, and an attractive twin room. The main bathroom has a WC, bath, and separate shower and is located on the first-floor. There is also a second lounge room on the first-floor, which benefits from a balcony with sea views, as well as a TV and cosy wood burner, for which a basket of logs is provided.

Outside, there is a good-sized enclosed rear garden, which has a lawn and patio area, including seating and a BBQ. There is off-road parking for two cars.

The house was a very good size and extremely clean and nicely decorated. Its a great location for the local sandy beach and a couple of rocky coves. They were all within easy walking distance. There is a small co-op nearby for essentials and takeaways which came in very handy. Overall a lovely house and good location.

A lovely, spacious house which catered well for three generations of family. Large enough to spread out whilst still being cosy and comfortable. It was well equipped and very clean. Its location was ideal for walks to Goodrington beach and in to Paignton. Plenty of scope for days out in the area.

Very comfortable home for a family holiday with a good location for Goodrington beach. Lovely large family areas and good sea views of Torbay. Our young family particularly enjoyed the beach, open top bus to Babbacombe for the funicular ride to the beach and the steam train and boat trip to Dartmouth. Perfect location for lots of day trips.

Beautiful accommodation with layout affording privacy for different family groups. Excellent facilities and welcome pack was much appreciated. Excellent location for visiting the local areas. We would definitely recommend this property and will be returning in the future

Treat yourself to a memorable holiday in the beautiful coastal resort of Brixham, where there are a variety of fantastic experiences that will entertain all ages. A lively harbour town, there is plenty to see and do in and around the town.

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
