Situated very near to the harbour front at Brixham, this property is perfect for those looking to explore the local area on foot. A short walk will take you to this bustling fishing settlement’s charming array of boutique shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. For those with sea legs, there are boat trips for exploring the coastline from the water, or for those who prefer to stay on dry land, the coastal path offers magnificent scenery at every step.

The front door opens into a large open-plan family kitchen/diner, which offers plenty of space for entertaining and a door opening to the cosy lounge area, where you can enjoy the views of the harbour, or have a relaxing evening watching the TV or DVD. The kitchen has been fitted with everything you should need throughout your stay including an oven, halogen hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. Once prepared, dine at the large table nearby that seats eight. From the kitchen, a flight of stairs leads up to the first floor where the first two bedrooms are located. In the master bedroom, there is a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Access from the double room to the sun terrace with seating for eight. The second bedroom is ideal for children, containing bunk beds. There  is a shower room with a washbasin and WC. Another flight of stairs leads up to the second floor where the second set of bedrooms are located, there is a double bedroom and another bedroom which offers bunk beds, also on this floor is a second shower room, with a washbasin and WC. Enjoys the best views from all the bedrooms over the rooftops to the sea.

A door open from the first floor double bedroom, offers a sun terrace with seating, with stunning views over the fish market and harbour beyond, this is a wonderful setting for al fresco meals in the sun.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Just arrived back yesterday from a week's stay. The house is lovely. There was 4 adults and 3 children and plenty of space for all of us. The balcony terrace is beautiful with amazing views of the harbour. Perfect location. 2 mins from the harbour. After reading previous reviews I thought we might be kept awake by the fish market next door but didnRead more't affect us at all. Had a great time and would definately recommend to others and book again. Hide

Stayed at Ocean View cottage recently and would recommend this cottage the location is excellent right next to the harbour, the service from booking to leaving the cottage was 1st class - we would highly recommend a stay here in lovely Brixham.

Our stay at Ocean View was very relaxing. Overseeing the Fish Market with everyone busy at work, was a joy to watch whilst sitting outside. Ocean view has everything you need and want. A short stroll into the busy harbour and shopping area. With lots of places to eat and drink. Highly recommended but I will say the only toilet available is on the tRead moreop floor so be prepared for a trek. I would definitely stay here again Hide

Treat yourself to a memorable holiday in the beautiful coastal resort of Brixham, where there are a variety of fantastic experiences that will entertain all ages. A lively harbour town, there is plenty to see and do in and around the town.

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
