Traditional fishermen’s cottage with a sunny patio and sun room, both with views to Brixham harbour which lies just 200 metres from the property’s front door.

This charming fisherman’s cottage overlooking the pretty town of Brixham, is the perfect spot for a relaxing seaside getaway. Oozing character and style, this romantic retreat also boasts spectacular sea views. With the bustling fishing harbour just 200 metres away, and some fantastic coastal walks and day trips on the doorstep, this home is the ideal choice whatever pace of holiday you’re looking for.

Traditional touches are to be found throughout this cosy cottage, and its relaxing atmosphere will help you leave the busyness of modern life behind. The front door leads into a conservatory where you’ll soon be enjoying a morning coffee, while you watch the harbour come to life. Put your feet up in the inviting lounge and pop on your favourite film while soaking up the warmth of the wood burner-effect gas fire. Steps lead up to a stylish kitchen where you’ll find everything you need to rustle up breakfast or a delicious meal for two. Follow the cottage-style stairs up to the bedroom where you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep before waking up to that incredible sea view. Patio doors lead from this room outside onto your own private balcony patio, which is the ideal place to enjoy evening drinks and take in the beauty of Brixham as the sun sets. The cottage also benefits from a garden which is sometimes shared with the owners.

Take a romantic stroll around the harbour before joining the South West Coast Path to Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles). Discover the more secluded beaches of St Mary’s Bay and Fishcombe Cove, which are both within 2 miles and just off the coast path. To see the area from a different viewpoint, take a boat trip across the water to the popular resorts of Torquay or Dartmouth.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
