A gorgeous cottage situated close to the town’s amenities, fully equipped with modern technology making it the perfect bolthole for a family retreat by the seaside.

Situated less than half a mile from the pretty harbour in the English Riviera town of Brixham, a perfect holiday destination which offers something for just about everyone. Brixham boasts an assortment of colourful cottages coupled with its fascinating history of pirates and smugglers. Explore the beaches and restaurants, a fascinating replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship - The Golden Hind, and enjoy water sports, crabbing, boat trips, and so much more. Further afield, you’ll find Splashdown Water Park, Paignton Zoo and Dartmouth Steam Railway are all within 5 miles. Kents Cavern caves is 9 miles away.

Head up a couple of steps into this beautifully presented cottage; you will find yourself in the entrance hallway, the perfect place to wipe muddy paws and leave the day’s walking boots behind you. The hallway leads to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This great sociable space boasts an extendable table to seat the entire family for breakfast or an evening meal. The kitchen includes an induction hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine. The lounge area has comfortable seating, a Smart TV with Netflix for the rainy days, and some board games; a perfect social space to cater for the entire family. Moving upstairs to the first floor, you’ll find the master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Across the landing is the snug featuring a Smart TV with an Xbox Series S console with access to over 100 games, along with a sofa bed, perfect for a nap during the day. There is also access to an outdoor private balcony area next to the snug. Completing this floor is a light and contemporary family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC (washing machine located in the cupboard). Moving upstairs to the second floor, you’ll find the remaining bedrooms. First is a spacious bunk bed bedroom with plenty of floor space for games and playing with toys. Finally, there is a twin room with an added travel cot, perfect for putting the little one down for a rest.

Venturing outside from the snug room, you’ll find an enclosed balcony area featuring seating, table and a BBQ. Here you can enjoy dining alfresco, relax with a drink. There is also seating at the front of the property to enjoy an early morning coffee. There is roadside parking available (subject to availability) - walk down the famous steps of Brixham to reach the property. A central car park is 0.5 miles away where you can obtain a week’s permit which is valid in car parks throughout Torbay.

  • Brixham is busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep.

Very homely place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Was ideal for a family stay. Plenty of space for us all. Easy walking distance into Brixham and to the harbour. Nice little pub just round the corner, families and dogs welcome. No parking outside the property due to narrow street but parking on the road behind with steps down were we never struggleRead mored to park and owners gave us notice of this. Hide

It was a beautiful stay so close to everything. I would definitely go back again.
