The stunning lounge/diner with window seat is where you will spend most of your time. Prepare delicious meals for two in the chic modern kitchen before sinking into the inviting sofa that looks out over the ever-changing coastal vista. When you can finally tear your eyes away from the sea view, make the most of the TV/DVD or relax with a good book. In the eaves, the elegant double bedroom is a restful space with dressing table and TV for those long lazy mornings in bed.

Brixham is a bustling harbour town with plenty to see and do. Wander the charming streets, which are lined with independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs before taking a stroll along the breakwater to admire the views of the town from the end. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice between the peaceful Fishcombe Cove (0.5 miles), the sealife haven of Shoalstone (1 mile) and popular Breakwater (1 mile), all of which are within easy reach. Take to the water with a boat trip to nearby Dartmouth (5.5 miles) or Torquay (8.5 miles) or follow the South West Coast Path to Paignton (5.5 miles).

  • There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Brixham do not have private parking. However, alternative parking is available in local carparks.

You can't beat this place for position and views so it deserves 5 stars. But if there's one thing putting me off returning, it's the stairs. They are a non-standard depth and pitch which prove difficult for carrying cases and for anyone getting up during the night to use the bathroom.

In a beautiful spot with great views especially dawn and sunset. All the rooms were quite large apart perhaps from the shower room but the shower was great. It had everything we needed and handy for the town if you don't mind steps. The stairs were quite narrow and steep which could prove difficult for some people, surprisingly our dog found it verRead morey difficult though he never went above the lounge. Hide

We had a great time in this property. Its location is perfect for the view. The only gripes we had was that the windows could have done with a clean. I understand that you cant stop the seagulls from bombing the windows as they are always flying onto the roof, but the bedroom window frames in the bedroom didn't look like they'd been cleaned for a gRead moreood while. Don't let this put you off though the location is wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to friends. Hide

A cosy and lovely cottage, perfect for a couple. It is well located and in walking distance to several supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. There is a bus stop close by (less than 10 minutes) which is well connected to nearby towns and we did not feel the need for a car. Treat yourself to a memorable holiday in the beautiful coastal resort of Brixham, where there are a variety of fantastic experiences that will entertain all ages. A lively harbour town, there is plenty to see and do in and around the town.

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
