Perfect for parents and older children, or a group of four friends, this charming cottage is situated close to the harbour front with easy access to the town’s amenities and attractions. Explore the shops, cafes and sights of Brixham before returning to the comfort of the cottage. Light the wood burner and settle in for the evening amidst period features, including exposed stone walls and wooden beams.


Stylish decor throughout the property complements the traditional interiors. On the ground floor, enjoy a meal together in the kitchen/diner before stepping down to relax in the lounge. Watch TV from the sofa, or read a book curled up on the window seat. When it’s time for bed, climb the steep winding stairs to the bedrooms. On the first floor is the beautifully cosy twin bedroom with its very own window seat, and a bathroom with walk-in shower. Head up to the second floor for the master bedroom, where you can soak in the magnificent oval bathtub after a day out or unwind with a hot shower in the bathroom. The handy utility cupboard with washing machine, also tucked away inside the second-floor bathroom, is ideal for refreshing sandy clothes. Outside, shared steep steps lead up to a gravelled area complete with seating for al fresco dining, or continue further upwards to the tropical decked area featuring vines and a banana tree.


Take a stroll along the Brixham Breakwater (0.5 miles) for amazing photos and a new perspective of the town. The Golden Hind Museum Ship is less than half a mile away from the property, and keen swimmers will love taking a dip in Shoalstone Pool (1 mile), one of the UK’s few seawater lidos. Further afield, discover the seaside town of Paignton where you can spend a day out at the zoo (5.5 miles) or hop on a train for a tour of the area with the Dartmouth Steam Railway (5.5 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage is in a good location and only 3 or 4 minutes walk from the harbour and the bars and restaurants. It is warm and comfortable, well equipped and ideal for a few days away at any time of year. Free roadside parking is available within a ten minute walk.

Lovely cosy welcoming dog friendly cottage. We stayed here with two friends and our Giant Schnauzer without any problems. Great central location, just a short walk to the harbour and local shops. Yes parking is a bit of an issue but thats not the cottages fault! Its only a ten minute walk to the long stay car park and you can buy a weekly ticket whRead moreich can be used in other Torbay Council car parks. We would be more than happy to stay at Echo Beach again or recommend to anyone else. Hide

Lovely, quaint fisherman's cottage. Love the stairs to the first and second floors although probably not good if you are unsteady on your feet. Very convenient location for the harbour and the shops.

Nicely decorated, kitchen reasonably well-equipped. Beds are comfortable with adequate storage. Bathrooms look great with wonderful showers. Easy access to harbour and local shops. Long-stay car park a 10 minute walk away.

Lovely old cottage, decorated nicely. It is very close to the town, but it is steps down into the town. Parking has been mentioned, and free parking can be found, but again its a steep walk up the hill and would assume it's much busier in the season.

Lovely cottage, clean, modern and beautifully restored. Parking is a big problem and expensive if you have to use car parks which are a long walk away. Stairs are also very, very, steep but then, thats part of being in such a lovely old fishermans cottage. Other than kindling cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated for Christmas.

As a whole it was good. Location ideal. Few issues as stated above. Also it should be made more clear about the steps in the garden. It was to steep to get up, even my dog wouldn't climb them.

It is a narrow house in a narrow street. It is only a few minutes walk to th ecity, the harbour, restaurants and the beach. The furniture is comfortable and in good condition. The stairs are high and narrow. Two bathrooms are very moders and quite large for the small house. The space outside is very small , too small for eating or relaxing outside Read moreit is behind the huse but down the hill from the neighbours. Nevertheless this is one of the best houses we rent the last years. Hide
