Situated very close to the harbour front, this property is within easy reach of its bars and cafes. For those looking to do a spot of retail therapy while away, there is also a good selection of independent shops and galleries to explore. The harbour itself boasts boating and fishing trips for discovering the coastline from the water, together with a lively fish market for cosy nights in.

On the ground floor, the good-sized lounge boasts natural flooring, exposed brickwork, a window seat, a stocked bookcase and feature fireplace with wood burning stove. This is a cosy and quaint room for cuddling up in front of the TV or listening to music using the Bluetooth speaker. Continue into the compact yet thoughtfully designed kitchen, which features pendant lighting, exposed beams and brickwork with hand-built cupboards, boasting quirkiness yet functionality. Here you will find a fridge, freezer, gas oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Steep winding stairs lead up to the first floor and a twin bedroom with bedside table, window seat and plenty of hanging space along with a chest of drawers. A newly-fitted bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin. Further steep winding stairs lead up to the second floor where the master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, occasional chair, wooden flooring, chest of drawers, and fantastic feature oval bath tub. On this floor, there is a second bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin together with a utility cupboard to house the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Step outside from the kitchen where steep stone shared steps lead up to a gravelled area. Here you will find a bistro set for enjoying al fresco meals and further steps leading up to a wonderful tropical-style decked garden with real banana tree, vines, decking and additional seating.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cottage, clean, modern and beautifully restored. Parking is a big problem and expensive if you have to use car parks which are a long walk away. Stairs are also very, very, steep but then, thats part of being in such a lovely old fishermans cottage. Other than kindling cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated for Christmas.

As a whole it was good. Location ideal. Few issues as stated above. Also it should be made more clear about the steps in the garden. It was to steep to get up, even my dog wouldn't climb them.

It is a narrow house in a narrow street. It is only a few minutes walk to th ecity, the harbour, restaurants and the beach. The furniture is comfortable and in good condition. The stairs are high and narrow. Two bathrooms are very moders and quite large for the small house. The space outside is very small , too small for eating or relaxing outside Read moreit is behind the huse but down the hill from the neighbours. Nevertheless this is one of the best houses we rent the last years. Hide

Treat yourself to a memorable holiday in the beautiful coastal resort of Brixham, where there are a variety of fantastic experiences that will entertain all ages. A lively harbour town, there is plenty to see and do in and around the town.

Crabbing is the number one activity in Brixham, and little ones will love dangling their line over the water’s edge and seeing how many crabs they can capture. Children young and old will also be entertained by the stories of the smugglers and the pirates who once walked the streets of the village. There are several narrow streets to explore lined with colourful fishermen’s houses, with plenty of other great places nearby to discover including Paignton, Plymouth and Torquay.

For the active in your group, there are all sorts of activities to try your hand at, whether you’re a fan of swimming in the sea or prefer to enjoy long walks on dry land, with some great places to enjoy treks including the Berry Head Nature Reserve. And for fun-packed days out, there are several to treat the kids to in the local area, including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Kent’s Cavern.
