This newly refurbished cottage in the centre of Brixham will make a peaceful getaway for families. Situated just 1.5 miles away from the beach and town, you’ll be able to get around very easily by foot. Dog owners will also be pleased to know that one well-behaved four-legged friend is also welcome here.

This delightful three-storey coastal retreat features a spacious hallway where you can leave muddy boots after a day of exploring. Leading on from here is a kitchen/dining area, which has been lovingly furnished by the owners and is completed with a backdrop of whitewashed stone walls which adds a touch of traditional character. This room features a cosy wood burner, comfy sofas and a smart TV which is geared towards some relaxation time. On the first floor is a neutral-toned master bedroom with a sprinkling of pastel colours to provide a calming ambience as you snooze, while the second floor features the two other bedrooms: one fitted with twin beds for the little ones and the other with a tranquil king-size bed for two more adults. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden area complete with patio seating area

There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area for all interests, but if you wish to go a little further afield and see more of what the region has to offer, then you could drive to the popular holiday resorts of Torquay (9 miles) and Paignton (7 miles).

Lovely cottage, good size rooms with plenty of storage. Small enclosed garden. Well equipped and in quiet area. Lots of routes down to town and harbour although very steep. Need at least 1 driver able to take car to find parking area not too far away on roadside but again quite steep

Stayed here twice for Christmas had a wonderful time and the property was still in a great condition - hats off to the cleaners/management of the property. Perfect place to stay to experience the magic of Brixham.

Lovely clean cosy cottage. 10 minute walk to the harbour (where you are likely to see seals!). Would recommend a walk on Berry Head from where we were lucky enough to see dolphins. Nice to have a hoilday stay with a secure garden for our dog. Thank you!

We had a wonderful week in Captain's Cottage. The house was very clean and well equipped. We never managed to park on the road or by the cottage, but we expected this from other reviews so not a problem to us at all. It's in a great location as only ten minutes walk into town. A great base for exploring other areas too.

Great little place to stay, the cottage had everything we could need for the 2 of us and a dog. Cottage was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. Parking can be a bit tricky at times but we always managed to find somewhere close by. Was a nice little walk in to town, although up lots of steps/steep slopes to get back. Some lovely bars Read moreand restaurants in town and nearly everywhere was dog friendly. Plenty of activities in the local area. Will look at returning here soon. Many thanks. Hide

Beautiful cottage set in a prime location with easy access to Brixham Harbour (just 10 minute walk). We had a lovely stay. it was centrol to pubs, restaurants, small beach, and we found a lovely little cove. Paignton beach was only 20 mins away with car parking on the beach, with plenty of local cafes/fish and chips. Just watch out for the seagulls

This is a wonderful place to stay and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to use Brixham as their base to discover Devon. February 2023 We had the most lovely stay in Captains Cottage. Our family consists of 2 teenage boys, my husband and myself and a dog. The cottage was brilliantly located and superbly equipped. It was spotlessly clean and I really could not find fault with anything. I would highly recommend

This is a good bet for a stay in brixham. Very well appointed with everything youd need for a week-long break. Definitely be aware of the steps to get to the house- not suitable for those with mobility issues. We went in winter and the house is warm and cosy. Good value for money!

A lovely character cottage in the heart of Brixham, great location even with all the steps to contend with! The kitchen is well equipped if a family, there is a great selection of books and board games available to use.
