The cottage is located in the lovely fishing town of Brixham, with a bustling harbour and its array of local shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Enjoy coastal and woodland walks from the doorstep before stopping to sample some freshly caught seafood. Try your hand at crabbing, enjoy many water sports or simply relax on the sandy beach at St Mary's Bay. Brixham is home to an excellent line up of events and attractions throughout the year to ensure the whole family is entertained during your stay. Within 10 miles is Dartmouth with its steam railway, Totnes and its outdoor market, numerous National Trust sites and Kents Cavern. Other attractions and places of interest include the historic naval city of Plymouth, and Exeter with its stunning cathedral and shops.
Upon entering the stylish cottage, a small entrance hall welcomes you and provides the perfect place to kick off your boots after a long walk. Enter to your left into the open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen. Relax and unwind on the comfortable seating and watch the Smart TV as the wood burner crackles away. Enjoy a meal sat around the dining table together and open the French doors to allow the fresh air in. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, integrated freezer and separate fridge, and the swooping style worktop design provides a wonderful space to cook up the family’s favourite meals. Tucked away around the corner from the kitchen is a quiet snug complete with sofa and TV to enjoy reading a book, and behind a frosted screened glass door is a downstairs WC with utility space equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer. With beautiful exposed brickwork, upstairs you’re greeted with a large landing space. The first bedroom is a king-size with TV and the second bedroom is a king-size room (which can be made into a twin on request). Completing the upstairs is the bathroom with free-standing bath with shower attachment, WC and a wet room shower space.
The enclosed garden can be enjoyed by entering from the dining area or snug, the top deck provides seating to enjoy a drink or dine alfresco. Walking down the steps into the enclosed garden space, there’s a BBQ, small water fountain feature, pond and chimenea to enjoy whilst sitting on the comfortable garden furniture soaking up the summer weather. This is also the perfect spot for your four-legged friend with shaded areas present. There is allocated off-road parking for one car down the road and additional on-street parking is available nearby, subject to availability.
