For a peaceful coastal break, this former fisherman’s cottage set in the heart of town is ideal for smaller families or friends seeking a centrally located base to explore Brixham and the wider area. The bustling amenities of town are within walking distance where you can stroll along the sandy beaches, browse in the galleries or feast on freshly caught fish in one of the harbourside bistros. Situated in a traffic-free area, this quaint property is full of charm and character. The open-plan living area is tastefully decorated, and underfloor heating makes this a warm and cosy space. After a day at the beach, put your feet up on the sofa and relax. Beyond is the well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing locally purchased produce to be enjoyed at the nearby dining table. Up a set of winding stairs are the bedrooms and family shower room. The first-floor twin bedroom and second-floor king-size room both have magnificent views across the harbour. A further child’s bedroom is also on the second floor. Outside, you can stroll around the shared garden or enjoy a morning coffee on the bistro stable to the front of the cottage.

Wander into Brixham to discover its maritime heritage at the museum, select your supper in the fish market or share fish and chips sat on the harbour wall. Take to the water for a sailing lesson or try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. Step back in time on board the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle for a Dartmouth River Cruise (6.5 miles) and disembark to climb the battlements of Dartmouth Castle for splendid views along the river.

The cottage was lovely it had everything we needed. Very cosy and clean, and the view from two of the bedrooms is fantastic. Especially with the window seat, could spend hours there watching the busy port it's fascinating. Also everything is on the doorstep from shopping, eateries/bars, as well as the stunning port and coastal walks. The hill goingRead more to the property is quite steep so could be difficult if you struggle with gradients. We would definitely stay here again. Hide

This cottage was so lovely, spotless and great value for money. The location was perfect as we were able to stroll into Brixham each evening. The views from the bedrooms across the harbour were stunning. Dont worry about the parking as we purchased a permit and parked in the long stay. I was able to use the permit in other car parks too. Gull's Perch is a lovely cottage just a stones throw from the harbour. The house is well booked after and very clear and has everything you need for a seaside stay. I'm only sorry I didn't net around to drinking the bottle of wine that welcomed us. There are fantastic views of the harbour from all three floors and a lovely little garden to sit in.
