The perfect hideaway for a romantic break, this traditional fisherman’s cottage in the heart of Brixham, oozes character and old-world charm. Located just a few minutes from the town centre and harbour, with its many shops and restaurants, this delightful home has it all. With some spectacular coastal walks on the doorstep too, it’s the ideal base for exploring the beautiful English Riviera.

Chic, understated styling, along with many traditional features, creates a lovely restful atmosphere throughout this home. Steps lead into the property, which is spread over three floors. You’ll be whipping up a tasty snack or romantic meal in no time in the cottage-style kitchen, before you head upstairs to relax in the cosy lounge. On cooler evenings, the sofas in front of the open fire are the ideal spot to snuggle up together with a glass of wine and a film. When your eyes feel heavy, take the stairs up to your inviting bedroom and sink down into the sumptuous bed for a much-needed night’s sleep. Outside, the pretty cottage garden is a wonderful space to soak up the peaceful atmosphere. Fire up the BBQ and sit back and relax with a little al fresco dining.

Take a romantic stroll around the town’s bustling harbour and explore the full-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship, The Golden Hind. Pack a picnic and head along the South West Coast Path to Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles). Along the path, you’ll find some lovely secluded beaches including St Mary’s Bay and Fishcombe Cove. For a little history, visit the beloved holiday home of author Agatha Christie at the National Trust’s Greenway House and Gardens, 4.5 miles away.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

Cottage location was fabulous just up from the town. It was also very quiet. Loved staying here , it was a beautiful cottage & very clean, very well equipped & cozy & would stay here again . I loved the decoration & provided a really comfortable stay after being out all day enjoying all Brixham & Devon had to offer.

We had a great week here last week! The cottage is perfectly located to explore the area and we went on beautiful walks and day trips most days to take advantage of the beautiful weather we had. The Quayside is only a few minutes walk away and well worth exploring with great pubs, restaurants and shops. The cottage itself is very comfortable and haRead mores everything you need. My husband and I, along with our dog, had a wonderful stay at Hideaway Cottage! The location is superb ( be mindful from a mobility perspective it is on an incline and property on 3 levels). Brixham has plenty of lovely bars and restaurants around the pretty harbour. The cottage has everything you need and is comfy and cosy with lots of character. We had a lovely stay. Weather was hit and miss but we really enjoyed our rainy day in Totnes. The cottage is ideally located in Brixham. We walked to coves around and beautiful Berry Head which has delicious food, esp. crab sandwiches. Evening stroll to the harbour break tide for lovely views and skies

The cottage ideally situated within easy walking distance of the harbour. It's set on 3 floors and is located halfway up a steep hill, so if mobility is a challenge this might not be the place for you. Hide Away Cottage the whole experience from first arriving and opening the door, what a lovely homely place to stay on holiday. A lovely little cottage but over three floors so maybe not ideal for those with mobility difficulties. A two minute walk into Brixham. The front door is hidden from the road but directions given by the owner make it easy to find. Clean and nicely furnished. We did not cook at all so can't comment on the facilities. We loved the cottage. Great location with things to do without taking the car out. Definitely dont take a cottage in Brixham without a parking space, that was a godsend. Welcome food was a lovely touch. We would happily come again.

Hideaway Cottage is a beautiful, well equipped little house. The range was lit ready for our arrival and we were provided with enough firewood for 3 or 4 good fires over the course of our stay. The house is very close to the town centre and the harbour, which is convenient for shopping and walking along the coast. Lovely, comfortable cottage, on three levels, so as long as you're OK with stairs you're fine. Was a great base for us two and our spaniel. The cottage is located up a steep and winding short access road. Parking is available, and provided nearby, which is great as there's very limited parking nearby. Overall the cottage was wonderful, as it was very tastefully decorated and furnished and just what we wanted. However, although it didn't affect the us, for those wanting to watch a fair bit of TV, it was not ideal because the signal was poor.

On the whole a nice cottage in a really good location. There is a bad wood lice problem though and it could do with a deep clean. Outside garden needs tiding up.

Beautifully presented cottage. Ideal location to discover Brixham and the SW coastal path. A chilled bottle of fizz was much appreciated on my arrival and the blazing log fire made for a perfect end to my days which were spent outdoors enjoying the magnificent scenery of S Devon.

The cottage is in excellent position for the harbour and town centre. It is excellently equipped. If you have bad knees it is not the cottage for you 2 steep sets of stairs otherwise a brilliant cottage. Would love to come back in the summer. Car parking permit a fantastic addition.
