This historic building, located a short distance from Brixham harbour, is well positioned to enjoy scenic views and the amenities found in the pretty hillside village of Brixham. There’s ample space for all the family, with four bedrooms sleeping a total of seven guests. The property boasts a sunny south-facing balcony, where guests will be able to relax and enjoy a morning cuppa before embarking on a day of adventure. Coastal walks and sheltered coves are all within a short distance from the property.

Originally a structure built to accommodate and manufacture sailboats, this tall, narrow building has now been tastefully converted into a stylish cottage that suits contemporary living. A characterful space, the cottage is entered on the first floor via steps leading to the main open-plan living space with its own balcony. The lounge area has a restful, neutral interior, with comfortable sofas and a beanbag providing the perfect spots to watch a film. Two bedrooms can be found on the floor below, one of which is a master king-size with an en-suite, providing flexible sleeping spaces for a large family. The highlight of the property is the second master bedroom, which can be found on the top floor and also boasts an en-suite. This impressive space has a vaulted ceiling, adding to the room’s grandeur. A single bedroom, also with a vaulted ceiling, can be found on this floor, too.

Brixham is a wonderful place to explore, with the harbour less than 1 mile away from the property. A walk of just 1.5 miles brings you to Fishcombe Cove, an idyllic beach location for all the family. Grab your buckets and spades, and help the little ones build sandcastles in this stunning area. Animal lovers can go wild at Paignton Zoo, just 5.5 miles away, where budding zoologists can find themselves up close and personal with, amongst others, a komodo dragon!

  • 4 bedrooms – 2 king-size bedrooms with TV and en-suites, 1 twin and 1 single with space for a travel cot
  • 3 bathrooms – 1 en-suite shower room, 1 en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, 1 family bathroom with shower over bath, and 1 separate WC
  • Electric oven, fridge/freezer, electric hob, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster
  • TV and DVD player
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Highchair, booster cushion, travel cot and children’s cutlery available
  • Parking available close by in Brixham Central Car Park
  • Brixham is busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging
  • This property is situated in the central harbour area so access to local amenities is reasonable straight and level.

The property is perfectly located close to the harbour, and easy walking distance to all amenities. The house is well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. We had a fantastic trip, and would definitely stay again.

This is excellent accommodation in the centre of Brixham. The Manor Pub is less than 30 metres away and we could hear noise on Sat. to Mon. But this was the Pirate Festival weekend (which we went for) and The Manor was very busy. The noise did not bother us at all and I imagine at other times this is not a problem. Parking is an issue, we used a siRead morede road 5 minutes away, which was perfect. En-suites in main bedrooms and an extra bathroom on the ground floor, all spotless. We hope to be back. Hide

We had a lovely stay. Plenty of room for the seven of us. Great location (ten minutes walk to long term car park which wasnt too much of an issue). Would definitely recommend.

The Old Sail Loft is a lovely house and the 7 of us really enjoyed our stay. Parking was less than 10 mins away. Recommend the Rockfish restaurant, but you may need to book to get a table.

A very comfortable and well equipped house. Access and parking when we were there (March before the Easter holidays) was not a problem, but clearly could be at the height of the season. Torbay Council have recently changed their car park charges, so the instructions need to be brought up to date.

A well equipped, comfortable and clean holiday home. Nicely positioned to enjoy the best of Brixham. It's not the first time that we've stopped in this property and it certainly won't be the last.

Lovely cottage, great home comforts in a close location to central Brixham. If driving you would need to park at a long stay car park which is a 10-15 minute walk back to the house each time you go out for the day. Very comfortable property, it can sleep 7 and was fine for us as some of the guests were children. If it was 7 adults space might be a Read morebit tight. We really enjoyed our stay. The property was outstanding with the 'majestic master bedroom' like a cherry on the cake! I was going to give 9 out of 10 for location but we ventured into the 'historical Manor Pub' opposite the property and realised what a great location this really is! We will definitely book this property again. Seeing seals in the Read moreharbour and dolphins around the coast; why would anyone not want to visit this lovely part of Britain!? Hide
