Families will love the central location of this traditional sailor’s cottage, with an unconventional layout that really makes the most of the superb vista across Brixham harbour. In an elevated position above the town, it’s just a few minutes on foot to the town centre and busy fishing port.

Accommodation is spread over three floors. Kids will relish their own space – with a bunk room and twin on the ground floor - while Mum and Dad can retreat to the master en-suite at the top of the house. Everyone can congregate on the first floor, and the two TVs will prevent any squabbles for the remote after a long day exploring. On sunny afternoons children will enjoy the cute shady garden room in the split level garden, while you watch the harbour activity from the patio seating. And as the sun goes down, there’s no need to change the view, just head inside and watch from the comfort of the lounge.

It’s less than 200 metres down some steep steps to the town centre and the harbour, and only half a mile for those with pushchairs or the less agile. Take a boat trip out around the bay, try your hand at crabbing or take the older kids out on a fishing trip. Younger kids will love the pebbly beaches, half a mile in the other direction from the house, where there’s also a sea water swimming pool. For a larger strip of beach, with a little sand too, head to St Mary’s Bay on the south side of the headland, about a mile by car. Walkers will enjoy the stroll, about 2 miles, which passes Berry Head Lighthouse – with some spectacular clifftop views.

  • Three bedrooms:
  • 1 double with a en-suite ,(which has a wash basin & WC) located on the top floor
  • 1 twin bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom - located on the ground floor
  • Bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC - located on the ground floor
  • TV and DVD, plus second TV in the dining room
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave
  • Electric and heating included
  • Bed linen and towels included
  • Travel cot
  • Off-road private parking for one car accessed from the rear of the property by steep steps
  • Seafront, pub, and shops all within walking distance

  • Dogs and children should be suprvised in the terrace garden area at all times
  • Brixham is busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.

A very well positioned cottage overlooking the harbour in Brixham with incredible views from all rooms with the benefit of parking. Very steep steps at the back of the property from parking space (informed to us in the details) which didn't bother us but may do others but access can be gained from the front anyway which is a few outside steps then Read morea normal flight inside. The cottage was lovely and the views stunning. Very comfortable, warm and cosy. However, although I expected steep steps and had no issue when booking, once at the property, the back metal steps were dangerous in the rain. I slipped but no injury sustained. The stairs leading to the attic room were also steep but because of their construction, theyRead more were very narrow I felt quite nervous going down them. Hide

I don't want to leave! One of the nicest places we have stayed in. Absolutely incredible views. Very well equipped home. Fantastic having parking. Lovely area in the garden to eat with a view of the harbour. I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Fantastic views. Steep steps throughout property and to get to and from harbour as others have remarked upon. Not a problem for us. Good to have a parking space and rear access - meant we could organise a grocery delivery. Downstairs (2 bedrooms and bathroom) smells quite musty - but it is an old property. Some housekeeping issues.

Lovely cottage and views of the harbour. Lots of steps though, if you have mobility issues it would be a problem and lots of steps down and back from the town. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The cottage had everything needed and was lovely and clean. The owners went took the extra mile to make my stay perfect and were always on hand if needed. I felt very welcomed by them. The farm was in a good location to visit all the local sights.

An excellent cottage in a very good location. We have stayed many times and the cottage has undergone many improvements over the years. Lots of places to walk without taking the car out.
